Colomba is the traditional Italian Easter Cake, now widely appreciated all over the world. Made in a shape that reminds of a flying dove ("colomba" means "dove" in Italian), this dessert traditionally made on Good Friday is the must have on every Italian Easter dinner table.
Our Loison Colomba is made following the traditional recipe, involving a long natural fermentation of the sour dough. The result is a dessert with a soft and light texture (which reminds of the one of the famous Panettone) enriched with Sicilian candied orange peels and covered with crunchy almonds.
