With its white colour, its greenish streaks and its unmistakable flavour, Gorgonzola is the "green" table cheese known all over the world.
Aged in caves!
Born around in year 1000 in Gorgonzola, a village in Milan province from which this cheese inherited the name, it is still produced with pasteurized milk from a single milking with the addition of enzymes and selected molds for marbling and it is aged for about 60 days at 4-6° C.
Molds of Bontazola are handled with care by expert cheesemakers who follow carefully the entire production process ensuring the high quality of product that has soft and inimitable taste.
